is a website provided by Dr. Ira Shafran, a
Gastroenterologist from Orlando, Florida. We would encourage you to visit
Dr. Shafran's site to learn about his practice and his research involving MAP

A new DNA vaccine to both treat and prevent Crohn's disease
is being developed in London, England. The research project is based at
St.
George's Hospital Medical School's Crohn's Research Group, and is being conducted by
Professor John Hermon-Taylor, and
Dr. Timothy Bull, (both members of PARA's
Advisory Council).

Chronic Crohn's Campaign,
a patient advocacy group in the UK founded by Tim and Sarah Page, has lobbied
various governmental agencies with regard to MAP. We applaud their
efforts and would strongly urge residents of the UK to contact them.

MAP-Canada was founded in
September 2001 by Diane and Michael Fagen.
Realizing that PARA of necessity is primarily focused on U.S. policies
and actions since it is U.S. - based, these individuals purposed to create a
sister organization in Canada to lobby Canadian officials and leaders on this
issue. We applaud their efforts and encourage residents of Canada to
